9 Teams Selected to Enter the SPARK-BIH Program in Fall 2020

The third call for translational project proposals in the Validation Fund / SPARK-BIH program was again a success. 9 Teams convinced the jury and were selected to take part in the SPARK-BIH program.

On September 7th and 8th teams from the Charité and the MDC presented their translational projects in front of a jury with experts from diverse fields including science, industry, business and medicine. 9 teams convinced the jury and were selected to take part in the SPARK-BIH program, where they will receive tailored education, mentoring, advice and networking as well as milestone-based funding over a period of up to two years. The funded teams cover a diverse range of cutting-edge projects from different medical areas and include cell therapies, vaccine discovery, diagnostic and medtech projects.

The SPARK-BIH program for our new 2020 intake kicked off on October 6th with the "Target Product Profile" (TPP) workshop. Experts lead through this one-day TPP workshop to provide targeted education and to the point support for our new teams that will help accelerate their product development goals. The group photo of all participants was taken during the workshop by MIKA-fotografie | Berlin.
