SPARK-BIH welcomes new projects to the program

In October 2022, Dr. Tanja Rosenmund, head of SPARK-BIH, together with her team welcomed fourteen new projects to the SPARK-BIH program. She and her team are excited to support the new SPARKees to translate their innovation from bench to bedside.

The 2022 calls for proposals of the SPARK-BIH and NeuroCure/SPARK-BIH funding and mentoring program once again motivated many scientists and clinicians from Charité, BIH and the NeuroCure network to submit their translational project proposals from the fields of pharma, diagnostics and medtech.

In September 2022, the teams pitched their medical innovation to a jury of external experts from science, industry, business, and medicine. The expert jury selected fourteen outstanding projects to participate in the SPARK-BIH program, where they will receive tailored education, mentoring, consulting and networking, as well as milestone-based funding over a period of up to two years. In order to receive project funding, PIs will have to agree on a project/milestone plan that is worked out with SPARK-BIH project managers and advisors in the upcoming weeks.
