SPARK-BIH welcomes ten new projects to the program

The new SPARK teams were welcomed by SPARK-BIH during the online onboarding event

In October 2021, Dr. Tanja Rosenmund, head of SPARK-BIH, together with her team welcomed 10 new projects to the SPARK-BIH program. She and her team are excited to support the new SPARKees to translate their innovation from bench to bedside.

The 2021 call for proposals of the SPARK-BIH funding and mentoring program once again motivated many scientists and clinicians from Charité and BIH to submit their translational project proposals from the fields of pharma, diagnostics and medtech.

In August 2021, the teams pitched their medical innovation to a jury of experts from science, industry, business, and medicine. The expert jury selected 10 outstanding projects to participate in the SPARK-BIH program, where they will receive tailored education, mentoring, consulting and networking, as well as milestone-based funding over a period of up to two years. In order to receive project funding, PIs will have to agree on a project/milestone plan that is worked out with SPARK-BIH in the upcoming weeks.
