SPARK Europe Webinar Series: "IP Strategies for Inventions in Biotech"

In this SPARK Europe Webinar, Sebastian Tegethoff, an experienced legal advisor with molecular biology research background, will offer us a glimpse of his experience in developing IP strategies for research institutes and biotech companies.

The webinar is open to all interested staff and students from SPARK associated organizations.


Why should you care about Intellectual Property (IP) protection? How can this protection support your translational research? How do IP strategies in biotech differ from other fields?

At an early stage of the development of you translational project you may question yourself whether you need intellectual property protection and if yes, how to envisage it.

After this online lecture you will have gained valuable knowledge about:

  • relevant IP rights for biotech innovations
  • the role of IP in product development
  • particularities of IP protection in life science
