Prof. Ulrich Dirnagl, Founding Director of the BIH QUEST Center, talks about the topic "Debunking Common Myths about Translation".

Am 25. und 26. November lädt die europäische RESTORE-Initiative zum Advanced Therapies Science Meeting (ATSM) nach Berlin ein. Es geht um „Neuartige Therapien“, so genannte „lebende Medikamente“, die den Anspruch erheben, Krankheiten heilen zu können, statt nur Symptome zu bekämpfen. Diese „Neuartigen Therapien“ revolutionieren auch die Art und Weise, wie Arzneimittel entwickelt werden. Die europaweite Forschungsinitiative hatte erst im Februar eine Anschubfinanzierung von einer Million Euro erhalten mit dem Ziel, Europa im Bereich der „Neuartigen Therapien“ an die Spitze zu bringen. RESTORE wurde gegründet und wird koordiniert vom BIH Center for Regenerative Therapies (BCRT) und dem Berlin Center for Advanced Therapies (BeCAT) an der Charité – Universitätsmedizin Berlin. Die Ärztekammer hat die Veranstaltung akkreditiert und vergibt 6 Punkte für die Teilnahme.
