Auf einer Intensivstation kommt es immer wieder zu lebensbedrohlichen Situationen: Um hier rechtzeitig eingreifen zu können, hat ein Team am Deutschen Herzzentrum Berlin eine KI-basierte Software entwickelt, die sämtliche Überwachungsdaten regelmäßig auswertet und das Personal alarmiert, noch bevor eine kritische Lage erreicht ist. Mit der Gründung der x-cardiac GmbH werden diese KI-basierten Monitoring Systeme nun in marktreife Medizinprodukte überführt. Das Berlin Institute of Health (BIH) in der Charité unterstützte das Vorhaben mit verschiedenen Programmen.

In this SPARK EUROPE WEBINAR, Prof. Raimo Sepponen, Professor emeritus of Aalto University with a long history of working in the medical technology industry and founder of several start-up companies, will give insights on how to avoid costly mistakes when starting a business.

Many researchers need to perform clinical trials to move their products to the market. For this, it will be essential to have a good quality management system (QMS) in the preclinical phase that will facilitate the interaction with regulatory agencies and industry partners. Our speaker Dr. René Bernard will introduce the 'European Quality In Preclinical Data Quality System' (EQIPD QS) as such a QMS.
