This meeting will bring together the leading experts on extrachromosomal circular DNA. Even though extrachromosomal circular DNA has been observed in cells for many years, only recent sequencing technologies have made it possible to describe their structure and function in detail. Growing evidence has revealed an unexpected prevalence of extrachromosomal circular DNA in healthy and cancerous cells. This meeting aims to discuss recent reports in order to find collaborative approaches to tackle the open questions about extrachromosomal circular DNA.
